Future Engineers (Age 8-10)
Youth Education

This camp introduces students to the exciting world of electrical engineering and robotics using LEGO-compatible components. Students will design and build a variety of models while experimenting with LEDs, potentiometers, switches, sensors, infrared technology, connectors, tilt mechanisms, and motors. Projects may include windmills, energy-saving lights, impact drills, tilt-sensor lifters, and even walking insect models. This hands-on experience encourages creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills in a fun and engaging environment. Co-sponsored with Future Technology Education.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn foundational engineering and robotics concepts using LEGO-compatible components
  • Develop problem-solving and creative design skills through hands-on building projects
  • Explore electrical components such as LEDs, sensors, motors, and switches

Summer 2026 Section 2, Starting on: 07/13/2026

This is an in-person camp. This class is for those who design and build. Programming concepts are done by a micro hand-held electronic device and not laptops. More details will be emailed the week before camp starts. No prior experience necessary.
