Get to know Iran through some of its magnificent art and architecture. You'll use a ruler and drafting compass to draw geometric patterns from around the country and explore tiling shapes, pentagonal pili gereh patterns, tenfold rosettes, and variations on an eight-fold pattern called "the breath of the compassionate." You'll leave class with a new appreciation for the history and cultural heritage of Iran, knowledge of how to draw several patterns, and some finished pieces of geometric art
