Watercolor en Plein Air: Millcreek and Little Dell

"En plein air" is the French term for outside. Join us to paint in the beauty of the outdoors at Millcreek Canyon then Little Dell Reservoir. This class focuses on understanding and interpreting the light. You'll start with small value studies which prepare your senses to capture the mood of the day and cause you to consider the strength of your composition. You'll learn to simplify your landscapes into background, middleground, and foreground to convey the natural splendor you see around you.

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 06/22/2024
This class takes place in Millcreek Canyon and Little Dell Reservoire, exact meeting location announced one week before class starts. Students supply their own entry fees and are responsible for their own lunch. Students supply their own materials; find a list online. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipt. Email our office at lifelong@continue.utah.edu to inquire about the status of a class.
