Exquisite Collage: A Surrealist Workshop

Collage begins with collaboration--bringing together fragments to form something new. Learn a variety of basic techniques, materials, and tools for creating your own collage, from favorite adhesives to the best blade for any task, and then apply these skills to a collaborative creative game and art process. In this playful, four-hour workshop, you'll create "Exquisite Collages," inspired by the Surrealist game Exquisite Corpse. Each participant will work on a panel of a larger collage, guided only by the piece before theirs. The final reveal? A surprising, collective artwork full of movement and imagination. You'll leave with your starting panel--now transformed by others. This is a chance to think outside the box, connect with others, and create something bigger together.
