Beginning Sewing I

You bought the sewing machine, you watched all of the YouTube videos, but now you just need someone who can answer your questions and give personal guidance. This class is for you! Join us and gain confidence in sewing while you become acquainted with your machine. You'll learn about a variety of fabrics and construction techniques, how fabrics are used in various projects, different seam techniques, the use of notions, and how to read a pattern. This class is intended for people who are brand new to their sewing machines.

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 06/03/2024

No class 6/17. **MAKE members receive a 10% tuition discount. If you are a MAKE Salt Lake member, please call us at (801) 587-5433 to enroll.** Class takes place at MAKE Salt Lake (663 W 100 S, SLC). Students provide their own sewing machine and most of their own supplies; find a list online. Special fee is for shared supplies and studio rental. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipts. Email our office at lifelong@continue.utah.edu to inquire about the status of a class.
