Focus on the skills you learned in your first level blacksmithing class and grow your knowledge of higher carbon steel and heat treatment. You'll create a hammer head, forge-welded bit tomahawk, a simple draw knife, and a steel for traditional fire starting in this bushcraft project-focused course.

Class Sections For Blacksmithing: Intermediate (LLCFT 296)

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 06/25/2024

**Prerequisite: LLCFT274 Blacksmithing: An Introduction, or equivalent experience.** This class takes place in person at Wasatch Forge (150 W 1400 S, SLC, UT 84115). Special fee is for supplies and studio rental. Wear closed-toe shoes and natural fiber clothing. Students must bring their own above-the-wrist leather work gloves and safety glasses (both can be found at home stores). Bring a large container of water or sports drink--this is hot and thirsty work!
