Beginning Baking: Fruit Tart from Scratch

Have you always wanted to learn how to bake but never been brave enough to try? You're in the right place! Our Beginning Baking Series is designed with the absolute beginner in mind and every class teaches a different baking skill. Join us to learn three fundamentals: making a pie crust from scratch and blind-baking it, whisking up a perfect custard, and building a raspberry-pistachio pie that's so beautiful, you'll be torn between admiring it and immediately devouring it.

Class Sections For Beginning Baking: Fruit Tart from Scratch (LLFW 654)

Spring 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 02/01/2025

This class takes place at the U of U Foods Lab (250 1850 E, Salt Lake City). Please bring a pie pan (9in or bigger) to use and bring your pie home with. Special fee is for kitchen rental and supplies. Students will receive parking information and directions one week before class.
