Pioneer Trails Tour
Lifelong Learning
Follow in the footsteps of Utah's pioneer past. You'll learn about the historic overland trails to Utah, Oregon, and California, the risks of overland travel, and the primary routes of those trails. Then, join your instructor at Big Mountain for a driving tour along a segment of the California and Mormon pioneer trails into the Salt Lake Valley. You'll see evidence of wagon wheels and enjoy the same views as Utah's early pioneers.

Class Sections For Pioneer Trails Tour (LLPOT 500)
Summer 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 06/16/2026
This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC) and outdoors on Saturday. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a brown-bag lunch and water or drinks. Students are welcome and encouraged to carpool. Details and Saturday meeting location announced in class.
