Scuba: Referral Open Water

Start your journey to scuba certification with Salt Lake's own gem of a local diving hub. You'll learn all the basic skills including dive theory (pressure, buoyancy, and gases), dive planning, understanding equipment function and maintenance, environmental awareness, marine conservation, and emergency and rescue skills. The class includes thorough academic sections and in-water assessments, including a final exam and in-water skills evaluation for those who wish to move toward certification. This class is designed so that upon completion, students only need an additional four open water training dives to become scuba certified.

Class Sections For Scuba: Referral Open Water (LLREC 634)
Spring 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 02/10/2026
This class and pool sessions take place at Neptune Divers (2445 South 900 East, Salt Lake City UT 84106). Students must complete some forms prior to the first class; this can be done in the SSI app. Special fee covers space and pool rental, complete scuba equipment rental, SSI app with digital certification card and logbook, and SSI Digital Open Water Diver Kit. Students are also welcome to bring their own Scuba quality snorkeling equipment or purchase equipment in class (equipment can be demoed and students receive a student discount on all purchases). Each class will include a classroom session and a pool session. Please bring swimming apparel and towel for the pool. Changing rooms available on site.
