Membership in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is required to register for Osher classes. If you are unsure about your membership status, call us at 801-581-6461. If you are new to Osher, follow the Membership link at the right to learn more about membership.
Osher Special Events with Fees provide a fun way for members to socialize and experience our surrounding community together. These events and tours also help us form new friendships and stay connected in between terms when classes are not in session. Events are organized by a dedicated committee of volunteer members and through partnerships with multiple cultural organizations and businesses in our area. Registration and payment of fees are required to attend. Osher Special Events with Fees provide materials, food, beverages, supplies, space rental, etc. that must be paid in advance to each vendor. Therefore, these fees are non-refundable. Members are allowed to invite non-member guests only by advance permission from the Osher staff and on a space-available basis for each individual event.

Special Tasting with a Michelin Star Chef at the Ruin: We have a rare opportunity to sample small bites prepared by Chef Kevin Finch. A native of Salt Lake City, Chef Kevin began his culinary career at such NYC institutions as Betony and Maialino, before heading overseas to Maemo. Upon his return to the U.S. he was hired as an Executive Sous at Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, eventually earning the title of Chef de Cuisine. From there, he worked alongside Christopher Kostow and The Restaurant at Meadowood team to open Ensue in Shenzhen, China. Most recently, Chef Kevin has been a featured guest chef at several noteworthy pop-up venues in Utah, as well as in New York City, Paris, Oakland, Omaha, Bangkok, Los Angeles, and San Francisco to name a few. Chef Kevin is currently at residency through the end of July at the Ruin Lounge and has agreed to have Osher members enjoy simple gastronomic creations before his residency ends. The Ruin is a stylish downtown Main Street lounge known for its well-crafted cocktails. Seating for this special opportunity is limited, so register soon! The non-refundable $50 special fee covers the food tastings and tip. Cocktails/wine pairing may be ordered during the event for an extra cost. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, July 23.
