This course focuses on practical, research-based strategies to optimize physical function and promote long-term longevity. Students will explore the theory behind aging well while mastering the five "pressing reset" movements and fundamental human movement patterns to build a more resilient body. The curriculum emphasizes the "joint by joint" training method and highlights why speed and power training are essential--rather than detrimental--for maintaining vitality in later years. By the end of the term, participants will have the confidence to design a comprehensive fitness routine covering mobility, strength, and cardiovascular health. Please note that students must be able to transition from the floor to a standing position in seven seconds or less to participate.
