This course provides an introduction to computers and the concepts around them that impact our day to day lives--whether we realize it or not. The course will begin by covering the fundamentals of computing: the parts of a computer, what they do, and how computers run. With this knowledge, attendees will be ready to lightly cover adjacent concepts, such as coding, networking, and security. The course will end with a look forward at cutting edge technology that is either in early stages, or likely soon to emerge, including artificial intelligence, virtual/augmented reality, and quantum computing.
