Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
As a child of the 1950s and 1960s who grew up in the West, I had no firsthand understanding of the tectonic forces unleashed by the the Civil Rights movement in post-WWII America. So in order to find out, my wife and I have studied extensively and travelled broadly through the South, tracking America's complicated racial legacy and exploring her complex racial destiny. We have visited scores of cities, towns, museums, memorials, monuments and historical sites. We are eager to share our adventure in citizenship - our odyssey of personal and national discovery.
