The Intriguing History Behind Locked Letters
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
Discover the fascinating history of how mail was kept private and secure before there were such things as envelopes, postage stamps, and post offices. Enjoy learning about and using historical forms of folded letters. We will make replica "locked letters" and also use wax seals to create thoughtful and beautiful messages. Participants will form a new writing community as well as exploring some fascinating history!
