Iran: Its People, Politics, Religion, and Conflicts
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Iranians are a people faced with an uncertain future. They are a nation burdened by external economic sanctions and internal political conflict. As their religious and political leaders have grown gradually more oppressive they earned the animosity of almost every state in the region, culminating in an unwinnable war with Israel and the United States. Join us for an in-depth look at what makes Iran tick, its gregarious people, its detached government, and why it presents a vexing problem to its neighbors and to today's world leaders.
