Our remarkable bodies are composed of trillions of cells, which normally protect us from pathogens, maintain bone density, and regulate blood composition. If these activities are compromised, infections, osteoporosis, or diabetes can result. In this class, you will learn about the roles that cells play in processes like these and others. Explanations will emphasize physiology, not genetics, and be based on simple diagrams and micrographs. No special knowledge is required.
