This course will explore the intersection between aging and gender. We will unpack historical examples of how gender roles and expectations have been created, as well as shifted over time and vary between cultures. We will have conversations about how gender impacts our own lives on many different levels, such as socially and biologically, and analyze theories of aging and gender on an individual level and broader social trends.
