The Aspen Winds Woodwind Quintet will prepare a fantastic concert blending film and music! Filmed in 1902, "A Trip to the Moon" became a worldwide success and is ranked as the 84th most important/influential film of the 20th century. This silent film will be accompanied by the Aspen Winds Quintet with great French music from the early 20th century. Aspen Winds will take you on a journey - to the moon and back - with this program of lunar music! Class members will learn how early silent films were scored and how film soundtracks evolved over the decades.
