You bought the sewing machine, you watched the YouTube videos, but now you just need someone who can answer your questions and give personal guidance. This class is for you! Join us and gain confidence in sewing while you become acquainted with your machine. You'll learn about a variety of fabrics and construction techniques, how fabrics are used in various projects, different seam techniques, the use of notions, and how to read a pattern. No class 1/20. Class takes place at MAKE Salt Lake (663 W 100 S, SLC). Students provide their own sewing machine and most of their own supplies; find the list online. Please wait to purchase fabric until after first class. Students can expect to carry their machines for about a 5 minute walk to the classroom. Students are welcome to bring snacks/drinks to class. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipts. Email our office at lifelong@continue.utah.edu to inquire about the status of a class. Special fee is for shared supplies and studio rental. **MAKE members receive a 10% tuition discount. If you are a MAKE Salt Lake member, please call us at (801) 587-5433 to enroll.**
