Lifelong Learning
Join a local Salt Lake artist and learn how to create your own unique journal and sketchbook. You'll start by learning the unique artistic qualities of the "sweet" bookbinding technique. You will learn how to make a text block, create your own book covers, and sew a flat-lying spine as you build your one-of-a-kind book. You'll walk away from this class with two or more new books and the skills you need to make more!

Class Sections For Bookbinding (LLCFT 374)
Summer 2023 Section 1, Starting on: 05/15/2023
No class on 5/29. This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Students provide some of their own materials; find a list online. Special fee is for shared classroom materials. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipt. Email our office at lifelong@continue.utah.edu to inquire about the status of a class.
