Pysanky: Ukrainian Art Eggs

Learn the beautiful Slavic folk art of pysanky by decorating eggshells with dyes and wax-resist. You'll explore this tradition from start to finish, including emptying the eggs, basic divisions for laying out designs, dyeing in traditional folk designs, and finishing with varnish. You'll walk away from this class with at least two pysanky and the knowledge and skills you need to create these stunning eggs independently!

Spring 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 01/15/2025

This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Please wear an apron or art clothes. Special fee is for all required materials. Due to extensive material purchasing, the deadline for dropping this course and receiving your special fee refund is two weeks before class.
