Pysanky: Ukrainian Art Eggs

Learn the beautiful Slavic folk art of pysanky by decorating eggshells with dyes and wax-resist. You'll explore this tradition from start to finish, including emptying the eggs, basic divisions for laying out designs, dyeing in traditional folk designs, and finishing with varnish. You'll walk away from this class with three pysanky and the knowledge and skills you need to create these stunning eggs independently!

Due to extensive material purchasing, the deadline for dropping this course and receiving your Special Fee refunded is two weeks before class. This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Special fee is for all required materials. Please wear an apron or art clothes.
