If you know the basics of your sewing machine, but are looking to build on your knowledge by exploring clothing construction, then this class is for you! You'll learn how fabrics are used in various projects, common seam techniques and notions, installing pockets, and how to read a pattern. Students should already know how to use their sewing machine.

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 07/15/2024

No class 7/29. **MAKE members receive a 10% tuition discount. If you are a MAKE Salt Lake member, please call us at (801) 587-5433 to enroll.** Class takes place at MAKE Salt Lake (663 W 100 S, SLC). Students provide their own sewing machine and most of their own supplies; find the list online. Special fee is for shared supplies and studio rental. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipts. Email our office at lifelong@continue.utah.edu to inquire about the status of a class. **LLCFT 267 Beginning Sewing I is an excellent precursor to this class.**
