Now in its 14th year, Filmexico returns this November with powerful works by Indigenous filmmakers, emerging local talent, and established voices in contemporary Mexican cinema. Past selections have included Sundance award-winner Identifying Features and the acclaimed documentary Rebeladas. With Sundance's departure from Utah, this partnership between Salt Lake Film Society, the Consulate of México in Salt Lake City, and Artes de Mexico offers a fresh platform for meaningful storytelling and cross-cultural dialogue. Students will receive two film tickets for the festival between Nov 13-20th, a one-year Silver Screen Membership (student level), and a digital guide with festival context, background on featured films, and reflection questions. After viewing two films of their choice, participants will join a post-festival online discussion to share insights and connect through the lens of cinema.
