Utah's Onaqui Wild Horse Herd
Lifelong Learning

View Utah's wild horses in their natural habitat with the Onaqui Catalogue Foundation. You'll learn about Utah's most iconic wild horse herd and how community-based citizen science is being used to document and share information about individual horses, behavior, social structures, foal births, and herd management. We'll start with a two-hour classroom session, then on Saturday, we'll meet at the entrance of the Onaqui Herd Management Area (HMA) located near Dugway, UT on a quest to observe and catalogue the horses in the wild. On Tuesday we will meet online to share photos and video and discuss what we saw in the field on Saturday.
