Bird watching, or "birding", is one of the most popular hobbies in America. In fact, according to the National Aubudon Society, more than 1 in 3 U.S. adults enjoy birding! This class is geared towards giving new bird watchers the tools and knowledge to start their own birding journey. We will learn about the different birding regions in Utah, the species of birds that inhabit those regions, and basic skills and tools used for identifying our feathered friends. We'll have some class time and a field trip (easy walk) to put these skills to the test! If you like birds, want a way to better appreciate the living world around us, or just want to meet new friends, join us for this course!
