Course Description
In celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month, this one-day walking tour invites you to explore downtown Salt Lake City's rich, complex queer and trans history. Discover the stories of resilience, activism, love, and liberation that have shaped Utah's LGBTQ+ community by visiting bars, bookstores, gathering places, and activist hubs that hold powerful, often under-told histories. Through archival insights and firsthand accounts, this engaging, in-person tour offers a meaningful way to connect with the city, honor those who came before, and reflect on the ongoing fight for visibility and equality.
