Exploring Libraries Throughout the World, Then and Now

This course will examine the odd, unusual, and unique libraries throughout the world, as well as world famous libraries. The class will view examples of lost, hidden, stolen, and destroyed libraries, and libraries that were found and saved. Library architecture as a reflection of culture and purpose will be explored, as well as the important contribution that animals have made to libraries, even bats. Libraries are rich with exciting and surprising stories! This class will "check them out."
