Our approach to Russian consciousness consists in a close reading and discussion of selected historical texts to analyze and understand how Russians view themselves, Russia, the world, and "other." It is an attempt to understand the nature of the Russian "I" and how it functions as part of a Russian collective consciousness (including one Vladimir Putin).
