This six-session course introduces acoustic guitar through a practical and engaging approach centered on efficient technique, pick control, fretboard awareness, and musical exploration. Participants will develop coordination between both hands while learning how to move comfortably across the guitar using technical patterns, rhythm exercises, pentatonic geometrical shapes, introductory improvisation concepts, and easy ensemble playing activities. Rather than relying on memorization alone, students will explore visual relationships across the fretboard that simplify learning, encourage creativity, and support making music together. Through guided exercises and optional musical applications chosen by the instructor or students, participants will gain tools for continued independent practice and enjoyment beyond the course. No previous experience required. Players with some experience are also welcome.
