If you have taken Writing (or Telling) Your Stories Part One, or are already an experienced writer, this class explores ways to polish your stories into personal essays ready for publication. We will still do exercises with prompts to continue mining your mind for memories of your childhood or working life. As you read your work aloud to the group, we will hunt through your story for the lost lede, finding the gold you were meant to use to begin your essay. We will have discussions on markets for the personal essay as well as handouts on ready markets.
