Knitting for a Cause: Magic Loop Knitted Knockers
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Once we reach a certain age, most of us know someone--a family member, friend, associate, even ourself--who has lost a breast to cancer. In this class, we will learn to use the Magic Loop knitting technique to knit a comfortable, machine washable, affordable prosthesis. Class members should know how to do a long tail cast on, as well as knit and purl. Skills taught will include how to handle a cable needle for Magic Loop, casting on to knit in the round, increasing and decreasing, and finishing.
