The goal of this course is to provide basic astronomy knowledge and a sense of our place in the Universe. Class members will model the motions of Earth to better understand the apparent motions of the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars. We will take a tour of our solar system and explore its planets, asteroids, and comets. We will learn about the tools astronomers use to discover the properties of astronomical objects, such as stars, nebulae, and galaxies. Please join us to find out what they have discovered.
