Hearing loss is considered a communication disorder because it interrupts access to the spoken word. In this class, learn how to be proactive in setting the stage for communication needs. Learn to use basic lipreading concepts such as anticipation, body language, and flexibility to improve understanding. Explore a variety of accommodations to fill in the gaps. This class helps those with hearing loss and is also valuable for hearing partners.
