Osher Special Events provide a way for members to learn about our surrounding community and to stay connected when classes are not in session. Four Osher Special Events are included in the basic membership per term. RSVP's are required, and can be done by selecting your desired event below.

Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Project Walking Tour

This walking tour will take us by 4 or 5 successful historic rehabilitation tax credit projects in SLC. The tax credit programs provide financial incentives to owners of historic properties who wish to rehabilitate their buildings following historic preservation guidance. All of the buildings on the tour will be residential, primarily historic urban apartments. We will discuss building history and major rehab projects recently undertaken and we may have the opportunity to view the interior of one or two buildings. Participants should be able to walk up to 5 city blocks during the tour. It is REQUIRED that all participants wear a face mask. In order to maintain a group size that can practice safe distancing, all participants must register in advance.
