Osher Special Events provide a way for members to learn about our surrounding community and to stay connected when classes are not in session. Four Osher Special Events are included in the basic membership per term. RSVP's are required, and can be done by selecting your desired event below.

Utah Museum of Fine Arts Virtual Tour: The Elements of Art

Enjoy a virtual, docent-guided tour of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts' global collection with a focus on both 2-D and 3-D works. As part of an ongoing series focused on the elements of art-- line, shape, space, color, and texture--this tour will emphasize TEXTURE, implied and real, in each of the works we examine together. Participants are invited to enjoy close looking, conversation, and casual sketching as tools for understanding what they see. Led by a special team of UMFA docents who focus on giving adult tours at the Museum, in addition to their regular duty of leading school groups.
