Osher Special Events provide a way for members to learn about our surrounding community and to stay connected when classes are not in session. Four Osher Special Events are included in the basic membership per term. RSVP's are required, and can be done by selecting your desired event below.

UMFA-Go West!

Enjoy a free docent-led tour of "Go West! Art of the American Frontier from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West" to examine the development and disruption of the American West through more than eighty original artworks by Euro-American and Plains Indian artists. These celebrated artworks exemplify how newcomers mythologized their vision of the region and Native peoples sought to preserve their vanishing way of life. "Go West"! is a special ticketed exhibition but for this Osher Special Event, the Osher tour participants will be given free admission. (Osher members visiting the exhibition on their own with a U-of-U Student ID card will be admitted free; those without a U-of-U ID will pay the regular museum entrance fee plus a separate charge for the exhibit.)
