The Human Resources Management program gives you the foundation needed for a successful career by providing the skills necessary for you to align human resource practices to any professional organization. The courses within the program are results-oriented and practical, with real-world examples and exercises. Human resources management topics covered in the program include employee recruitment and selection, total rewards, conflict resolution in the workplace, employment law, and more.
Our classes are for everyone! You do not need to be a student of the University of Utah.
This program contains six individual classes focusing on Human Resources Foundations. Students who complete and attend all six classes will be awarded the Human Resources Management Program digital badge.

Our student success team will assist students with progress tracking and provide support throughout the program.
After completing the Human Resources Management Program, students may wish to sit for the aPHR exam offered by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
Students who are currently working as human resource professionals may be eligible to sit for intermediate and advanced credentials offered by HRCI and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

The program can be completed in a single semester to more quickly meet your goals.
The knowledge you gain in this program can help you build a strong foundation for entering the field of human resources, and it is in-depth enough that practicing HR managers will be able to use the knowledge to immediately begin improving talent retention and employee relations.
