Watercolorist's Ultimate Skill: Painting Around the Light

In watercolor, the white of your paper will be the lightest value in your finished piece. Join us to practice the multitude of ways to paint around those bright spots by defining the white space ahead of time. Explore a myriad of watercolor techniques, always planning on the type of edge to leave against the white--without using masking fluid! We'll learn ways to bring back lost whites and try painting with opaque white. You'll leave class with a finished painting.

This class meets online. Class times are scheduled in Mountain Time (MT). Students supply their own materials; find the list online. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipts.
