The disruptions of modern life can be deeply unsettling, not just to our minds, but to our bodies. While change is inevitable, when it happens too quickly or affects many parts of our lives at once, our ability to adapt can feel overwhelmed, leaving us ungrounded, anxious, or disconnected. This struggle to reestablish a sense of internal balance isn't only mental or emotional; it's a physiological experience within the Soma--the body in its living, feeling wholeness. In this course, you'll deepen your awareness of how you hold and respond to life's stressors in the body. Using a blend of mindfulness, felt-sense awareness, and guided partner exercises, you'll develop meaningful, everyday practices for cultivating greater resilience, wisdom, and kindness in the face of life's inevitable ups and downs. This course builds on the foundation of Applied Somatics: Practices for Turbulent Times, but is equally welcoming to new participants seeking to reconnect with their embodied wisdom.
