Utah Museum Spotlight: The John Wesley Powell River History Museum

The John Wesley Powell River History Museum, located in Green River, Utah, is dedicated to preserving and sharing river history through the cultures and landscapes of the Colorado Plateau. Visitors to the museum can explore artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays that provide insight into the challenges and triumphs of the explorers and settlers who shaped the region. The museum is also home to the River Runners Hall of Fame, which features over 30 individuals and groups who have made remarkable contributions to the history and protection of the Colorado River system. With its emphasis on both the cultural and natural history of the rivers, the museum offers a rich educational experience for those interested in the history of the American West.
