Obstacle Course Mayhem: Build Your Own Bot (Age 9-11)

This camp is designed for students ready to move beyond LEGO Mindstorms and explore advanced robotics concepts. Participants will work with a Bluetooth-enabled robot equipped with a 2.4GHz transmitter, ultrasonic transceiver module, dual light-level detector for line tracing, microcontroller, and Arduino boot loader--preloaded and ready to use. Students will tackle increasingly challenging obstacle courses and missions while learning new programming techniques through an intuitive drag-and-drop coding system. They will experiment with microcontrollers, sensors, and advanced robotics behaviors in a fun, hands-on environment. At the end of the week, students will take their robot home to continue learning and innovating. Co-sponsored with Future Technology Education.

Summer 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 07/13/2026

This is an in-person camp. No prior experience necessary. The special fee includes a take-home robot and the software. Laptops will be provided for use during class. Students who want to practice at home should bring a laptop (Windows or Mac) to class and the teacher will help download the software.
