Concept Art: Art on the Screen (Age 14-17)

Unleash creativity! Students will explore the exciting world of concept art, a key element in creating high-quality visuals for films, television shows, and video games. Whether it is a superhero showdown or an epic space vista, this course will teach students the fundamentals of making ideas visually stunning. They will create compelling stories, characters, and worlds that captivate audiences of all ages. The only limits are their imaginations. Co-sponsored with Utah Division of Games.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn foundational techniques used in concept art for film, television, and video games
  • Create original characters, environments, and visual story elements
  • Develop digital and traditional art skills to bring creative ideas to the screen
