Risograph printing has found new life in the hands of artists and designers in the past decade. Originally invented as a more eco-friendly alternative to photocopying, riso printing creates vibrant prints with a texture unique to the machine, and can reproduce work rapidly for a generally low cost. Riso Geist, Utah's only open risograph studio, will teach students the basics of preparing artwork for riso, the ins and outs of the machine, and open the studio doors so you can see the printing process in action. You'll leave this class with your own piece of risograph art.
