Robotics for Grown-Ups: An Introduction

You've seen robotics classes for kids and teenagers, but why should they get to have all the fun? Join us for an entertaining class that will introduce you to the exciting world of Mindstorm robotics. You'll tackle engineering problems and create designs using Legos, then assemble mini-robots and use micro-controllers to program them. You'll be introduced to coding and learn the interactive EV3-G programing language to engage in competitions and teamwork. No previous robotics experience is required (students should have a basic working knowledge of computers) and you don't need to bring anything but your sense of adventure and curiosity. Join us to make new friends, strengthen your mind, and learn a new skill!

Class Sections For Robotics for Grown-Ups: An Introduction (LLART 388)

Fall 2023 Section 1, Starting on: 11/11/2023

No class 11/25. Taught by Jay Jayaseelan. This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC) and is perfect for people who are brand-new to robotics. Laptops will be provided for use during class. Students who want to practice at home should bring a Windows laptop to the first session. Chromebooks will not work.
