Lost Wax Casting and Carving

Create beautiful metal jewelry using the lost wax casting process. This method allows you to sculpt and carve your project using wax. The wax is then used to make a mold from which you will cast a unique piece of jewelry that you can wear for years to come. Prerequisite: LLCFT 229 Metalsmithing I or, take our quiz to self-assess your skill level.

Summer 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 06/11/2026

Class meets at Salt City Smithery (3450 S Main St, Unit 44W, South Salt Lake). Special fee is for tool rental and some supplies; students will be charged separately in class for metal used, based on the weight of their projects, daily metals market price, and the metal used (sterling silver, brass, or bronze).
