Papermaking as an Artform
Lifelong Learning

Papermaking is a versatile and texture-rich craft. The process uses simple, inexpensive and attainable tools to create a unique form. This class will start with the basics of local and natural fibers and weave its way through processing, forming, and the finishing touches in the papermaking process. Students will walk away knowing how to continue to explore papermaking techniques at home. This class is designed to not only pull sheets of paper, useful in itself, but also push the boundaries of papermaking as an artform. Students can look forward to enhancing their paper through the use of watermarks as well as embossing and embedding techniques.
