In this four-week class, you'll start with a history of, and introduction to, machine learning and how AI affects our lives today. You'll look at the current state of AI and examine what the future might hold. Finally, you'll learn about media literacy and the ethics of this powerful tool. Join us and empower yourself with knowledge to explore practical uses of AI and how it can work for you. This course is designed for those with a foundational understanding of technology.

Fall 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 10/31/2024
This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Students should know how to operate a computer, web browser, Microsoft Word and Excel or Google sheets and Docs, and must have either a gmail or utah.edu email. If you are not familiar with logging into campus computers, please arrive early to the first class session for assistance.
