Develop Unique Talents Through Lifelong Learning's Ten-Class Challenge

One person will be selected to take ten classes for free during fall semester

July 15, 2013 – Have you ever considered bee keeping, making your own cheese, playing Africa drums or reading the Tarot? For those interested in learning something new, the University of Utah's Lifelong Learning program will accept applications for one person to complete ten courses for free this fall in exchange for writing about his or her experience.

With over 120 classes to choose from, the selected individual will plunge into learning mode, break out of his or her comfort zone, develop new skills and expand current ones in an engaging and social atmosphere. Evening and weekend classes include offerings in art, photography, business, dance, food and wine, home and garden, language, writing and more. Some classes last one day and others meet once a week for up to six weeks.

"Lifelong Learning provides a huge variety of classes that are engaging, unique and fun. We are looking for a participant who wants to expand their horizons, take a wide variety of classes and meet new people at the same time," said Mandy Self, director of Lifelong Learning at the U.

After the completion of each class of his or her own choosing, the participant will be asked to write a short review about his or her experience to be posted on Lifelong Learning's blog.

The deadline for submission is September 3 and the winner will be announced September 6. Preference will be given to those interested in multiple subjects and who have some experience with WordPress (Lifelong Learning offers a class for that as well).
