Deck Design: Skateboard Painting Workshop (Age 12-17)

Drop into this course to learn to customize, design and assemble your very own skate deck. Build one to ride, and one to hang on your wall. From painting the tape to picking your hardware this workshop will cover the basics of designing your own graphic to hand paint onto your custom deck. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn techniques for application of acrylic based paint & ink to wood and griptape.
- Learn the development process of an artwork through preliminary drawings to the finished piece.
- Learn visual problem solving on unusually shaped/textured surfaces

Due to high material costs (spray paint, respirators, filters, skate decks, hardware et. al.) the special fees for this class have been adjusted accordingly. Camp held at Higher Ground Learning, 380 West Pierpont Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
