Youth Education

Hone your artistry behind the scenes as an Artist-in-Training. Explore arts techniques and mediums, visit artist studios, learn about contemporary art, and make messes and mistakes along the way! At the end of the week, you'll showcase your work in a special exhibit at the Museum! This experience will guide you as you dive into the creative process, develop your personal artistic voice, and stay true to your imagination. Co-sponsored with Utah Museum of Contemporary Art.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explore a variety of materials and techniques, including traditional, historical, and contemporary methods
  • Understand how art is influenced by culture, history, and personal experiences
  • Prepare and present artwork for display

Class Sections For Artists-In-Training (Age 8-10) (YEART 26)

Summer 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 06/02/2025

Camp held at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, 20 West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Students should bring a packed lunch each day and a water bottle. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
